Pops of Pink

After a fair few months of dedication to the red lip (mostly in the form of Kate Moss for Rimmel 107) the Bobbi Brown products* above were a bit of a shock to the system.

But it was a shock that was well needed after a season of wearing essentially the same face day after day.

Coming from the Uber Pink collection the lipstick on the left is called New Neon Pink and oh my is this giving me joy (even more so when matched with the Pink Peony nail polish on my claws). It’s bright and well pigmented reminding me a little of Pink Nouveau but dare I say with a slightly nicer creamy formula.

The lipstick on the right isn’t in stores yet but was too lovely not to share straight away! It comes from Bobbi Brown’s L’Wren Scott collaboration (out March 17th). If you haven’t already spied this online, the Amnesia Rose Palette from the collection is to die for! The lipstick is the shade Pink Rose and is one of those ‘my lips but better’ sort of shades. It’s far more understated than New Neon Pink and just gives a little touch of cool pink with a hint of sparkle.

For a first time dip into the world of Bobbi Brown Lipsticks, these babies definitely impressed. Sure they are expensive retailing at $54 a pop, but the price is visible in the product. These are beautiful lipsticks. New staples? I think yes.
